kdiff3-qt software package provides compares and merges 2 or 3 files or directories - Qt version, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kdiff3-qt
kdiff3-qt is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kdiff3-qt package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kdiff3-qt *
You will get with kdiff3-qt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
